The project assumes an increase in crude oil storage capacity at Gdańsk Base by acquisition of land and designing and building 2 crude oil storage tanks with the capacity of 100 thousand m3 each, including the accompanying infrastructure, necessary for their operations. The tanks will be located within the depot, thus allowing the use of existing base infrastructure.
The completion of investment project has been scheduled for 2020.
Project implementation is expected to yield the following benefits:
- improved national energy security by increasing the flexibility of the transmission system and providing additional capacities for mandatory fuel storage purposes
- increased flexibility of pumping and improved high-quality transmission
- increased storage-related revenues
- increased storage capacities of PERN will allow the performance of repair and certification works in compliance with the requirements of UDT and GUM.
